So what exactly does Battery Brain do?
Very simply the Battery Brain connects to your vehicles Battery and continually monitors it's charge. Were the charge to drop below the minimum required level (11.8v) to start the vehicle, Battery Brain would effectively disconnect the battery. It basically ensures that there is always enough charge to start the vehicle and you will never be stranded.
Marine Type 3 monitors the battery and disconnects the electrical system if it detects the battery is losing sufficient charge to start the motor. Marine Type 4 Unit has the same capabilities as the Type III, but instead of a remote control there is a manual wired switch that can be mounted in a remote location. The switch is used to connect and disconnect the battery every time the bush button is pressed.
