A superb range of compressor powered fridges and refrigeration units from Waeco. There are 3 main types of these refrigeration units.
There are installed fridge/freezers such as the CR40, CR50, CR65, CR80 and CR110. These powerful units combine a larger fridge area and small freezer section. They are powered by extremely effective and yet surprisingly efficiend Danfoss 35 compressor units. These units can be installed manually but it might be worth having a look at the optional frame mounting kits which make fitting both easy and extremely neat. They come in both standard and flush mounting types - see the page for pictures of how both will look.
The second type is the drawer fridge such as the CD30. This compact unit again uses the Danfoss 35 compressor making it extremely effective compared to cheaper thermo-electric units. The drawer unit is totally seperate from the compressor, and 1.5m of hose is supplied meaning the compressor can be mounted anywhere around the unit giving you the option to easily customise the installation to your boat. Again, a neat fixing frame is available and the drawer front is available in a choice of black or white.
Last but not least we have a standard refridgeration unit, which comprises and compressor unit and a cold plate such as the ColdMachine55. This unit is designed to cool an insulated box that is already fitted to the boat, or one you intend to build yourself, up to a maximum size of around 130 litres. The compressor unit can be mounted remotely and one of two shapes of plate can be selected to best fit your chosen space (VD01 is a flat/L shaped plate and VD07 is an oval shaped plate). The unit is already filled with refrigerant and special valves mean you can quickly connect the compressor to the plate without then having to get the system refilled making installing these units a true DIY task!
